Providence based painter and printmaker, Irene Lawrence,
will open her show ‘MISCELLANEA’ on
Sunday, May 24th (4pm-7pm) at Myopic Books in Wakefield,
RI.
Irene
Lawrence’s show will consist of current paintings
and prints and will explore, among other things,
the differences between the physicality of a book
and the computer. Ms. Lawrence's wall piece uses
words of her 'poem' to describe the act of looking
at text. Visitors will be invited to write their
own thoughts about what books mean to them.
Irene
Lawrence attended the Rhode Island School
of Design and lives and works in Providence. She
has shown locally and nationally and has her work
in various collections, both public and private.
